Homecoming

Hello, everyone. I'm posting for the first time in awhile. Let me catch you up....
I didn't win homecoming princess... I lost to Ruth Tag... *snarl*
I guess I'm jeleous... but homecoming was fun. I looked nice, my mom did my hair.
I went by myself (which kinda sucked during couple dances)... but I still enjoyed myself.
Oh! Get this!
I did "go" with somebody actually. His name is Cody Russell, He's my friend Arik's friend. Arik and my other friend Hannah (She goes by Bair) went together and Bair wanted me to go to IHOP with her and Arik, so Arik brought Cody so I wouldn't feel awkward...
He Failed.
It was VERY awkward. We ate pancakes, waffles, and mozzerella sticks, meanwhile, Jeopardy! on the televison on the wall had MY attenion (Gotta love the Jeopardy!)
So after dinner, we headed off to the dance, which Cody had to sneak into because he didn't have a permission slip or ASB Card (he's from another school). After he SNUCK IN and we got in we dropped off out bags and proceeded to the "Grindfest", as I like to refer it to. People because DIFFERENT PEOPLE on that dancefloor. I danced by myself, with Cody a little, with Bair and some of my other girl friends. It was odd seeing dudes basically become primal on their "girls" as rap and hiphop slammed though the speakers. We then proceeded to introduce Cody to some of our friends. The he met Jade...
Jade is one my friends, she's Uber-awesomely sweet. So I introduced her to Cody...
(Love @ 1st sight)
The began to "dance" and I let them. I could see the panic in her eyes.
"Oh no!" She must have thought. "I'm dancing with Dani's date! She's gonna be so mad!"
To be honest, I was happy for Jade, Cody was kinda... *shrug*... not my type. I could've cared less. But Jade wanted to make sure it was okay with me... multipule times. Haha... it was kinda cute. She was soooo embarrassed and I could've cared less whether or not she danced with him. As far as was concerned, he was Free Territory. So they danced all night together, while I dance with... well... myself, which was nice in its own ways... (Such as people coming up to me and telling me I danced cool... then proceedingly asking why I came alone... haha) I danced with friends all night, like Jamie, my friend Christina's ex-boyfriend... he was nice I guess... until we stopped dancing and tried complimenting me with "Wow! I would have NEVER guess that YOU were a good dancer!" I wasn't sure how to take that... so I excepted the "compliment" and walked away. I danced with my friend, Kris too. It was kinda awkward when he rested his head on my shoulder (He's taller than me). Then when I asked him if he was okay, he replied in a shy, voice-cracked "Fine, thanks.". It was sweet.
So... I guess Homecoming was a little... less than what I expected but hey, whatcha gonna do?
Bye for now! Thanks for reading!
